This is with a band that is still going Roy and the Saracens playing a mixture of songs from 1950s to 70s and 80s - Telstar (Tornadoes), Oh Carol (Neil Sedaka), Beatles, Georgie Fame, Spencer Davis and Moody Blues etc.  The line-up on this photo is left to right Mark Griffiths (guitar) covering for Jules Hunt (keyboards) - Mark played bass on tours with Cliff Richard, The Shadows, Everly Brothers (reunion gig) and is equally at home on bass or guitar, then me, then Alan Savage (drums) did all the Des O'Connor shows and loads of TV/sessions etc.  At front is Alan Wakeman (cousin of Rick and was in Soft Machine). Then the leader on guitar at the right, Roy Hawkesford.  Roy formed this band to re-create his band of the same name that played in Birmingham many, many years ago.  Jazzy, you may know some of these people. We all live in Northamptonshire now.
Ah - good times with my trusty Alembic.

And one more with the John Dunmore Boogie band playing Louis Prima and blues/boogie.

Brought my Elan to a gig my band did a little while ago  8)

Nice shots; the black and white is especially nice.

Yeah great looking bass, do you have any clearer pictures of the bass that you can share on here?

Cool pics, bet you are psyched to be back out there playing again!  :)

Svein Håvard

A bit clearer picture maybe, next to the other alembics. The Orion have a new home now, did not get so much use since I prefer the slim neck on the Elan.

And yes, looks like it will be more and more gigging after all the covid lockdown`s the past years, so exited about the future :D

Very nice, and the koa top on that spoiler is super cool! :)

My favourite there is the elan, the finish with light and dark contrast woods is one of my favourites. All great basses.

I remember that bass from the KC inlay.  :)  It's a sweet one.

jazzyvee

Yes that inlay seemed familiar to me too.

Here are a couple of pics from last night's gig. Series II Europa 5 and Classico
Forgive the untidy stage, we were having problems with the PA at soundcheck then we had to start bang on time before we could clear our baggage from the stage area.
