I'm not planning any distance events in the near future. More likely to have one close to home.

I appreciate that.  I have no desire to get on an airplane full of strangers myself.

Mica - I sent you an email about posting some archived pictures that I was going to share (along with audio recordings).  Wondering if you got it?

Paul, can you swing that jet over to the Bay Area and pick me up on the way?   I flew in for the last one, but like you, I'm not yet ready to get on a plane, let alone stand in a long TSA line inside a terminal.  Until then, I'd sure love to check out pics and recordings of the Bag End gathering.  I still remember the largest bass speaker I've ever seen.  IIRC that puppy was 23"!

Bill, tgo

21"??
Bill I also sent you an email about the audio from that get together.
I "PM'd" both you and Mica.... I have the songs and pics both in Dropbox, but wanted pre-approval from the Mothership before releasing anything public.  (Mostly pics, as there are shots of a young Eric and basses that aren't owned by me).

Paul (who doesn't want to step on anyone's toes, and threw an extra quarter in the Leer jet slush fund)

Its is 21".  My bass player bought 4 of them because of this gathering for a true bassault!

Miss that time, it was great to jam with you all.  IL is a legal state now, so that may make it sweeter when we do get together again.
The only thing that stays the same is change.

FYI
I have recordings that were done by Mike Addyman on Dropbox from the original Chicago Gathering.

I also got notice that Dropbox is imploring me to update for more storage space ($$$).  I am a cheap person.  I will be removing these files from Dropbox this week.   Please PM me if you want a link to retrieve these for you personal archive (it captures the mood of the event well).

Paul (Roger your bass player is a very fortunate person! )

I still get to enjoy them three or four times a month! I hope you're well Pauldo.

Roger
I am doing well.  Started playing again after a brief hiatus... still know a thing or two!  :-D

Always good to bump the Chicago Thread!
