I went to put unused FretFX on my short scale Starfire bass this evening.  After lining it up I decided not to install it.  I looks to me like it would be a challenge to see the dot markers when not lit up.


So, if anyone would like to try them I will mail them to you, free.  I believe short scale Starfire basses are 30.75".

I'll try it.    You think it will line up with my short scale Alembic?

OK, you have first dibs.  I will see how it lines up with my SSB tonight and let you know.

I have them on both of my short scale alembics and the line up correctly.

I considered it for my fretless Guild, but that has dots where the frets would be, not between the frets like on a fretted bass.

If a fret could fret like a fretless fretted then a fret could fret fret-free!
