Hi Joel,

Here's what I found in the instrument file. There's not much, we haven't heard from this bass since we made it and all the details are on a 3x5 card.

top: Zebrawood
accent: not recorded (probably none)
body: not recorded (probably Mahogany)
back: Zebrawood
neck: Maple*
scale: 34" long
body shape: Small Standard**
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: mother of pearl
peghead veneers: Bocate
originally made for: Individual in New Mexico
birthday: December 9, 1976

*It would be weird to have only Maple neck laminates. If you can post some images, I can make some educated guesses as to the other woods.
**Very rare combination of a small body and a long-scale neck. We estimate there are about 8 of these, but there may be a few more. This one wasn't on my radar as one.

Also - can you update your profile? Looks like when we transferred it from the old board your email address and the rest of the details were munched up. Thanks!

Hi Mica! It's been a very long time since I visited the forum, let alone posted; however, here are pictures of my bass.

Very nice looking bass. I haven't seen many accents done like that. You have yourself a very unique bass and that's saying a lot given that almost all Alembics are unique.

That is beautiful!
I like the pickup switch knob.    A couple of my basses are like that.    That round silver knob is what is underneath the regular pointer knob.    It is just that the plastic is broken away.

Love those Grover 'wavy' tuners... I can't recall seeing them on another Alembic. I have chrome ones very similar on my Hyak, and Schaller 'wavy' machines on my Custom fretless. That extra pinstripe separating the body core halves is a nice bonus too, don't see that much. I can remember seeing a very few with it. Very sweet bass, thanks for posting pictures.  8)

Looks like there is a similar small body long scale zebrawood from 76 out there somewhere with serial number 76-AO62.

I used to own 76-A062.

I may have some other pictures of it in action somewhere.
