I've just got too many preamps and since the F-2B with an IN-2 provides everything that the F-1X does for my needs, I'm putting this up for sale.

I'd like to get $450 and actual shipping. It's in good shape, although one of the knobs is slightly off kilter. It sounds perfect and I've used it off and on for the past 4 years or so. I'm not sure what tube is in there, but it's not microphonic or noisy.

I'll post pictures shortly.

Hello, is this pre amp still for sale? Also, I have a question, with a pre amp would I still need to use the power supply for my Series 1?

thanks,

Bruce

Hi and welcome Bruce!
Edwin will have to answer the preamp availability question.

As far as your question about the power supply... yes, you will still need the power supply for your Series bass if you want to use the five-pin cable. You can only play a Series bass without a power supply by using the internal batteries and the 1/4" jack. There are currently no Alembic preamp products that include a power supply for Series instruments.  The F-1X is a great sounding preamp and Edwin takes good care of his gear, hope it works out for you.

Thanks Stephen, that was very helpful.

Welcome, Bruce.  One thing you should consider is that a Series instrument eats batteries fairly quickly if not using the 5-pin cable and the power supply.

Bill, tgo

Thanks Bill,

I need a power supply for the states. I am in Spain and bought the Series 1 from a guy in France, the power supply is for 220. I am assuming I will get back to the states next summer.

I have a 2016 DS-5 (non-rack) and it has a voltage selector for 110 and 240.

I don't think the power supply that came with the bass is an Alembic original. I see no voltage switch on it. Thanks for the input.

Hi,

Sorry I have not been in touch (I had deportation trial last week. I won, saving a family with kids with severe disabilities from losing their father, their home, potentially their lives).

Yes, this is still available!

Older power supplies didn't have a voltage switch on it, but it may still be switchable depending on the power transformer.
