Trio! is performing at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, FL. on October 22, 2005.

Call the Kravis Center for tickets.  Concert not listed at Ticketmaster.  I just got 6th row.

They'll be in Jacksonville 10/21 at the Florida Theatre.  I have my tickets.  I don't remember the row number but I'm in the orchestra pit.

Ooops Sam ...I dunno if that is a good idea!
I bet your neck will be blocked head upwards with a tilt to the right shoulder.

Hehehehe

Normally you would be correct, Paul.  This orchestra pit can be raised to floor level when used for seating rather than an orchestra.

Edit: I may be thinking of another venue.  It's past my nap time and my thinking is somewhat distorted.  Anyway, where our seats are it will be comfortable.  Some of these places call sections of several rows orchestra.  I guess it makes people think they'll be sitting real close.

I caught Trio! back in August at the Vancouver Wine and Jazz Festival. It was a great show!

Here's a picture from the show:

I saw them at Meadowbrook in Michigan in August. Wow- I had seen both Bela and Jean-Luc previosly but this was the first time I ever saw Stanley live. Highly recommended! Three Masters together! Michael (Flame Koa Essence)

He he he, Stanley's using two SWR (Super) Redhead combos. Could be just the back-end supplied by the venue?

Hi Tom, Thanks for the heads-up!  I called Kravis and just got row 14 center.  8 rows sold in one day, even without the push of Ticketron.  People better get on the stick in our area, if they want to catch good seats for this show.

You're welcome Jeff.  The concert isn't even on the calendar on the Kravis website, so I figured I should get the word out.

Tom

Also, I saw my bass hiding behind Ken's #3.  It's nice to know it's in good company.  The abalone inlays look sweet.

I caught them in seattle,
Stanley had the same set-up, amazing show.
He used his stand-up most the time; with a Renaissance bass for a couple tunes.
  ...stellar show  : )

A night of incredible music, phenomenal improvisation, and lots of humor. It inspired me to pick up my NS CR4M electric upright again and resume the bleeding.

You guys don't know how lucky you are living in the US. Top performers like Stanley and Bela very rarely come to the UK and if they do they only ever seem to play in London. Worse still, this tour, Trio didn't even get to this country, preferring to play 4 nights in spain!

Just to add gas to the fire...

I saw these guys in June @ Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA.  I've seen each of them numerous times in differing contexts, but this was magical.  The previous summer I saw Stanley & Jean Luc w/Al Dimeola, which was good, but I'll take Bela over Al any day of the week.

The coupe de grace though, was the opening act -Jake Shimabokuru.  If you haven't heard of him, check him out.  He's redefining the ukelele in the same manner Bela did the banjo 15 years ago.

That same evening, I randomly happened to run into a friend who had just returned from Bonaroo...a great guy & a real music fan.  Unfortunately, that was the last time I saw him, as he was killed in a car crash 3 weeks later.  But it made me really happy in retrospect that we had both been there for that wonderful evening of music.

If you have a chance to see these guys, don't miss it...

Does anyone have info about whether Trio is going on at Kravis on Saturday?  If not, will there be a rain date or credit?  Seems like Wilma may be visiting us then.  I may not be able to contact the center today, so I'd appreciate an update.
TIA, Jeff
