Picked up a Yamaha 5 string super cheap that has electronic problems. Have a 70s Yamaha 4 string with Activators. If anyone has some 5 string Activators they are not using I am keen!
The Yamaha has Jazz bass pickups so that would be ideal, but if I have to route it out to make it more "Alembic" I will do it!

Be SURE and check your dimensions on the OEM Yamahas vs. Activators or whatever you end up with.  Seemingly easy Jazz Bass replacement pickups can be bridge and neck width, two bridges, two necks, much less Yamaha might be some bespoke metric.  Just be sure you're lining up a like-for-like swap size-wise.
