The only pic I have of me playing my Alembic is a screenshot from a video, but the look on my face says it all! I need some more gigs!!!

Hi David, it is a newly formed band called Big Ship Alliance and they are a Freddie McGregor tribute band and that was their first gig. I got involved at the last minute because their guitarist had to go away to deal with family issues in the caribbean. A rare guitar gig for me gave me a chance to get the dragon out.
@rv_bass, I played clean mostly into two channels of my JC120. If I remember correctly, channel 1 (dry), I had the neck pickup with a wah pedal and a Radial Tonebone Trimode distortion pedal which is one that sounds great with active guitars. the bridge pickup went in the second channel which has built in chorus and a little reverb. I kept both pickups on all the time and changed the tone using the filters and volumes. However part way through the early part of the set the battery on the wah went flat so that wasn't used much sadly as thats my main pedal.
I will see if there are any decent sound clips or video clips.

Some pictures came in today unfortunately the octopad on it's stand was in front in all the photos so the guitar is not featured in any..
Yes I still have my intense gigging face on. hahaha It's a bit of a trade mark for me too.

My nephew spotted this snippet of HGB on YouTube... and me with the Custom fretless Alembic. I'm pretty sure it's from a show last June that Gabe couldn't make, hence our regular go-to Ernie is on resonator guitar.



It's a shame they didn't get the rest of "Deep Ellum" here... sounds like we were having a pretty good time with it!
