With the passing of Ginger Baker, I'm left wondering if Jack Bruce ever expressed any interest in Alembic basses.

He always seemed to be more on the dark side of the force, like flats on mudbuckers...
Not just a bass, this is an Alembic!

Nicely stated!

My wife's uncle has a Warwick Jack Bruce signature Thumb bass.  He let me try it once, unplugged.  It played well and sounded nice unplugged.

He is a fan of Jack's... but not a bass player... I think the bass is stuffed in a closet or under his bed and never gets played.  :o :'(

Found this looking around:

Interesting - they forgot to mention the Ampeg Dan Armstrong Lucite bass he played for a while in West Bruce & Laing (I think?)

Too bad he didn't discover Alembic instead of Warwick!

He did use Roto flats on the EB3.
