I know that some one can chip their bass so if it gets stolen it can get found. but how much does one cost?? id be intrested in putting it in my Warwick thumb bass, and my future alembic. How much do they cost?

These may be worth a try but unlike keavin's GPS tracker, this won't allow the bass to be found, only identify the owner after it has been found.

If your tracker is in your case, what's the Nextel module under the pickguard?  Is that a rechargeable battery?  It looks like it's sitting in between two 9V battery holders, but I see a battery connector sitting there as well.

I remember that photo,
Keavin's using the phone to block sensitive info written in the cavity...so no need to google Nextel instrument trackers.

Either that or my memory is off and he's testing the humcanceller with a cell phone shuffle.

If my Stanley ever gets stolen, I'll get Sadie to track 'er down - she's on the scent!

Elwood,
I love the Cellphone Shuffle (okay, it's a case of accepting the inevitable). I keep thinking I've got to write a tune based on it, (hmmm, first record and loop the dit, dit da dit, then build from there) maybe a project this spring...
