I like using my SF-2 with my F-1X and I would like to keep to a 3 rack space case.

Does anyone know of a 1 rack space class D power amp, two channels at least 800w per channel into 4 ohms?

I saw a post by Jazzyvee on another site mentioning an amp by a company called Synq, but I haven't been able to find those in the US.  Peavey used to make one, but it is discontinued.  Otherwise, I have not been able to find mention of any others.

Thanks!

If you find one, let me know.  :)

Here are a few:

https://assets.peavey.com/literature/manuals/80301828.pdf  (discontinued - you'd need to find a used one)

Watch out for the depth of these units, they may not fit in your rack.  If you went external there are some pretty nice lightweight class-d boxes out there.

Thank you, Jimmy, I think the Matrix might do the trick!

Powersoft K20: bridged into 4Ω = 18,000w.  In one rack space.
That's amazing - but speaking as a soundman, allow me to propose a Constitutional amendment banning these from anybody's stage rig.......

That Demeter looks nice, but yowch! ($) I guess you get what you pay for though... his preamps I've used have been quite nice indeed.

I know that the day is coming, -and I am bittersweetly welcoming it- that I will want/need to bring an SF-2 into my life. These bloomin' Starfire basses are going to make that happen sooner than later. Then who knows what crazy plans get hatched.  ::)

Note that that is peak power, not RMS or some other measurement of steady output. My guess is that the RMS output is much, much lower. I don't really trust amplifiers where the RMS or equivalent specs are not published. Peak power doesn't mean all that much, especially when THD and frequency range of peak power isn't published. I bet a lot of amps can do 18,000 watts at 1khz at 5% THD for a fraction of a millisecond.

OK, yeah - good point.  But I say it doesn't count if they explode during the next fraction of a millisecond.

The Matrix does look nice, and I've looked at that model on their website in the past.  And while I understand targeting guitar players with modeling rigs, I do wonder why they don't even mention using it with a bass.

Also wondering how loud the fans get with that much power in a one rack space.

What would be nice is one of these

a SF-2 in the same size box, and small but powerful power amp to go with them.  They could all fit in one backpack.  :)
