The older I get, the more I appreciate my close musical friends...

Absolutely!

In the dazed haze... hard to say what I was thinking about here. Probably something like:

(((hmmm... does that bridge filter need to be a little more open?)))

Just realizing... In a few months I will get to 10 years of being the caretaker for my beloved Alembic (and also being member of this wonderful club!!!). Hoooray!!!!

(Edit: And also realizing I somehow managed to post this in the wrong thread... and cannot find a way to delete it by myself, so if any moderator can delete this... Or just leave it for the cheerfulness of it  :) )

A bit late but finally found a video of our first concert of our tour last December with Yoga Lin. In this video I'm rockin' the Series 1 with SF2+F1X. This was before I sent her back to the mothership for upgrades.

Full band comes in at 2:50

Here are a few more pics from one of my gigs last month.
Hopefully Mica will forgive me for covering the logo with my clip on tuner ;D :-\ ;)

Ah! you are using the Classico.  I'd love to hear some clips of it being used at your gigs.

Beautiful bass, Jazzyvee!  Looks like you and G of H use the same strap, what kind is it?  Looks like a good one.  :)

jazzyvee

Yes we do. Its from a Greek company. Here is a link.

I have tried a few of the minotaur straps over the years and that one is by far the most comfortable with heavy basses and the leather is thicker.

Hammer, i have used it on one gig so far. As a complete novice I haven't enough hours on it or the technique to do a whole gig yet.
I did two tracks recorded by Stanley Clarke, 500 miles high and Sakura Sakura. There were a lot of phone cameras in action on thet gig but no-one i spoke to recorded 500 miles high which is really the one i felt went the best.

...one more time.

Looks like a great way to celebrate 50 to me! I hope to do something like that for my 50th next month. Definitely, an Alembicized event.

not a superb performance, but I'd like to show you, guys... (be nice)

I'm into bass solo arrangements which I can play chords and melodies along bass line at same time and still keep the original song recognizable. Not every tune permits that on 4 string bass. My old time pals would be surprise for the selection (we were jazz snobs at the 80s), but this one was perfect to my goal and I didn't even have to change a note to match bass open strings.
Not just a bass, this is an Alembic!

EX-cellent!!  (I would disagree - that WAS a superb performance!). Cool headstock addition, as well!
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.
