Been hard to keep quiet about this one. Jim from Guitar Rez in Austin, Texas ordered a Further guitar for his store with a resin enhanced Buckeye Burl top. It looks amazing in person. This is the first time we used this material, which is made locally here in Sonoma County, and I'm sure it won't be the last. This will be in the store on Friday.

Dang....Tye Dye has nothing on this beauty.

Shout out of thanks to Jim at Guitar Resurrection who pushed me to make this beauty for his store stock. I don't think it will be there very long.

Of course Mica did a great job with the photos but looks even better in person.  What will  we do next? I know there will be more unique resin tops, no two are alike.

It is striking.
What is the process of marrying resin with the burl?
Not requesting trade secrets just curious of the fundamental process... colored resin impregnated? Pressed in? Soaked in?

There are You tube videos of woodworkers making tables with resin impregnation.  Fascinating.  Also turning tree roots into bowls with resin filling in the gaps.

Guitar Rez is where I purchased my Alembic in 1992.  Good folks, I'm glad they are still around.

Ho-Hum.  Just another magnificently gorgeous Alembic masterpiece!!
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

That looks great a mixture of old wood and modern techniques. Guitar Rez is where I got my series I guitar from. I knew the next one Mica posted here would be existing perfection + 1
The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!

I've never been a fan of Buckeye. Until now. This is absolutely stunning.
