Some months ago, I asked the club about what to do about a bit of head dive on my graphite neck short scale series bass. The resounding response was a Moody 4" strap. I got one and it was perfect for that but the unexpected result was to take any shoulder fatigue away. So in my humble opinion that IS the way to go. The soft leather, that forms to take the pressure points out is the hot ticket. For what it's worth.

I too use the Levy's straps and like them. I use a 4" with a 4-string and the 4.5" with six string basses.

I just asked Missus Santa for another Minotaur strap just like the beige/brown one on "Chain-Links", but in maroon/black... I did not tell her it was for the fretless Custom Distillate that's landing on the porch Monday.
