Me too. I'm probably gonna' get flamed for this comment, but I was furious when the TV station switched out Batman for Star Trek. I remember Mom encouraging me to write a letter to the station manager. (eventually, I became a fan of Star Trek too)

The old Batman TV show was classic.  Not just Adam West and Burt Ward, but an absolutely stellar cast of super-villians, including Burt Meredith, Frank Gorshin, John Astin, Cesar Romero, Eartha Kitt, Juiie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, Otto Preminger, Eli Wallach, Milton Berle, Liberace, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Tullulah Bankhead, Van johnson, Anne Baxter, Joan Collins, Shelley Winters, Vincent Price, Victor Bouno, Cliff Robertson, Ethel Merman, Ida Lupino, Rudy Vallee, Carolyn Jones, etc., - virtually a who's who of the established entertainers of my parents' generation and, hence, my youth, or as Robin would say:

                                              "HOLY HOLLYWOOD BATMAN"!

Played a jazz gig with six guys yesterday.

My friend and great guitarist Don Ogilvie, threw in a batman tribute to Adam West in his solo! Really awesome, broke us up and was totally unexpected.
