Wow i've had mine for years and never realised it was a microphone pre-amp. [size=78%]I've been using mine on my bass, I hope I haven't invalidated the warrantee.  [/size]

Given the $500 + prices I've seen many of these going for recently I'd grab that F-1X ASAP if I needed one in spite of it only being a "mic preamp." 

I'm so tempted, but just got a '68 EB-3 and Craig's CP-10. Oh well. Time to get to work!
