I have been part of a guitar club, here in Galveston, TX. Due to some changes in quality of life for some of the membership, we are doing a considerable downsizing of our collection. We will be posting several Alembics in the near future on Reverb. I will be keeping most of the 4 string basses, and guitars, but most of the 5 and 6ers are going to be sold, since I never played them. I will try to post them here first at a discount, before they go to Reverb. Thanks for looking.

I did. I had the Q switch professionally installed. Very comfortable and sonically diverse instrument. I have the same thing now in a 5'er.

Our club ended up with a couple of these. This was in better shape, and we figured it could sell faster, with the added Q switch. Steve took really good care of it, when he had it. We have an Essence 6 that we are going to be listing soon to. I am going old school, and just doing 4 strings again.

Sold it. It is headed to PA. I encouraged the new owner to join the club. I have sold several Alembics on Reverb in the last couple of weeks. I will be listing more in the future. If you see an Alembic for sale in Galveston, and you are interested, shoot me an email here for a discount. Thanks!

Update! This bass was headed up to PA to it's new owner, but because of the blizzard, it was delayed. During the delay, the UPS container that held the package was stolen. Be on the lookout for a good deal on a 4 string Essence #91K6570. I will list it as stolen on the Alembic site. Too bad. The new owner was really excited about getting his first Alembic!

That's terrible! The Q switch location on this one should make it easy to spot. I might be able to find some cavity pics if ever needed.

I've updated the stolen instrument roster. Hopefully the bass will show up soon!

A happy ending! The bass was recovered! I have had Mica remove it from the stolen list. The new owner will be joining the club soon. It is his first Alembic. And I must say, Reverb did a nice job of setting up a refund very quickly, since I insured it through them. All good!
