We're coming out to play at Don Quixote's in Felton on the 14th and the Starry Plough on the 15th. I'd love to see some Alembic folks!

If all goes well, I'll be heading up to Santa Rosa on the 13th to pick up my Starfire. If not, I'll be playing my now Alembic equipped Modulus Q6. It sounds pretty awesome.

I'm thinking of doing something a bit wacky. Obviously I'm not traveling with a rig so I'm thinking of just going direct with my in ears for both gigs. Easy load in and good sound! The Starry Plough apparently has a Meyer rig so that should be no problem. It's been years since I've been to Don Quixote's so we'll see how that goes.

The 15th?  Bummer, I've got a gig that night.  How late will you be playing?  Maybe I can come check you out after we're done.  It's a fundraiser for my bass player's church, so I don't think we'll be going very late.

I don't know how late, as I've never played that venue before, but I'm assuming normal Saturday night late.

The Plough is a fun place.  I'll try and make it after my gig.

This is tonight! Brave the rain - this is a rare chance to see and hear Edwin playing some awesome instruments awesomely!

It was a great show! We missed you Wolf! There were some technical difficulties at the beginning but things finally got relatively sorted out (no fault of the band). Here's Edwin with the Alembicized Starfire:

Here's a closeup of the rig - I'll let Edwin describe what he was doing - it sounded great out front!

And here's a poster for the show:

This was my first time back at the Starry Plough - been here once before over 15 years ago - the place was packed! Sierra Nevada was only $5 a glass! Great to see Edwin play - would have liked to see and hear the Modulus 6-string but I think he was so happy to have the Starfire back in his hands.

Great photos, beautiful bass!  Did anyone happen to get a video or sound clip?

Fun show last night. Edwin's bass sounded great despite the soundman's apparent lack of expertise. He told me after the first set that he turned his speaker on stage off since it sounded too boomy. Bass was loud and clear in the room. Always a pleasure to see Harry and Bill. Was also hoping Wolf would show up. Thanks for posting the pics Harry!

Finally uploaded some video:

Both are instrumental sections - my preference, but also the vocals suffered the most from the inexperienced soundman. Sorry that they are short and cut off abruptly but just tried to get a sample of the band, the sound, and the club. If Edwin asks me to remove I will, but I think they sound pretty good!

Harry, thanks for posting.

Edwin, nice playing, bass sounds great and so does the band.
