If you're using rounds, then I have found that DR Lo-Riders are higher tension strings - I have had a similar issue with one of my basses.


Oh, and congrats! Cool that its destiny is intertwined with Edwin's 6-string Modulus!

Thanks man. I just sent for a set of D'Addario Half Round 45-100, I had first put on a light set first 40-95's. Yesterday tried Pyramid flats which were way too light. I think the Half Rounds will do the trick, being its close with the lighter gauge. I dig the connection to Edwin as well !!!!!

I had a similar problem with my Elan 4 when I first got it and not the advice of one of the forum members I used some R-Cocco strings and that helped immensely. However they were really rough to the touch and I've since put D'addario Pro-steels on and that seems to be fine.
