Cool!

The knobs and switch look right; hard to tell about the pickups though.  Guessing Volume, Filter, and Pickup Selector Switch.

I don't know anything about this kind of instrument, other than seeing Bela Fleck use his from time to time.

I've got a hunch Forest could help to explain this:

Oft-heard joke around here:

'Whaddya call 50 banjos at the bottom of Old Hickory Lake?  A good start !'

THIS needs to be taken out to the Marianas Trench.  He used it to 'experiment with funky sounds on the banjo' ?  I thought it was bad enough when EMG announced their bespoke banjo pickup (!!!!), but this . . . . . this . . . . . . this . . . . . . . (wherein our commenter began flailing himself and humbled himself with sack-cloth and ashes.  It's alright, the tremors will pass . . . . . . . )

Giggled myself to sleep thinking about this one... I believe this is one of your neighbors down there in th' 'Ville Joey!

Hey, if you're gonna' play an electric banjo, it might as well be an Alembicized one! ;D

And another banjo joke:

Definition of perfect pitch - throwing an accordian into a dumpster where it lands on a banjo.

(I'm sure an Alembic pickup is actually the best, but...)

What kind of pickup is the best to put on a banjo?

An F-150.
