As you may recall I play bass in Musical Youth. Anyway a while back we recorded the album and one of the tracks was a live recording of "I shot the Sheriff" taken from a concert we performed. To cut a long story short, my bass part ended up being the one part  that was kept fully intact on the recording and because of mic spillage and other stuff the rest of the track was re-recorded in the studio. Today I got an email forwarded to me from the band leader that he got from the publishers of Bob Marley's music.

I have removed the non relevant parts of the email and left the most important parts. Well from my perspective anyway.

[/size]FYI: This is the bass I used on that recording my Maple Alembic Europa 5 for that concert and I guess the bass sound was down to me, my Alembic and how it was mixed. However I like to think I gave the recording a great sound to start the ball rolling and as the producer is also our drummer and he loves the sound of that bass, he would have tried to keep the character of the bass in the recording. I haven't  heard the mastered version of the album so I'm looking forward to that.

I must have spent too much time around folks from/in the UK as I knew what chuffed meant when I first saw it.
