For those who have just too many instruments cluttering up the living room, and field complaints of ugly guitar stands, we have the perfect solution:

This cabinet will be installed at Guitar Showcase in San Jose, CA later this month to show their premium Alembics.

WOW,simply beautiful. If I hit the lottery,I'll have one or two ordered up along with some new Rogue shaped Series 2's.Dream on.Do they have lights installed above the top of each hanger?

I WANT ONE!

valvil

You and me both, Dave, actually I could use 2...I love looking at it; it sits right in front of my office until it ships to Guitar Showcase at least...

I jokingly nicknamed it Alembic's WMD... guaranteed to annihilate your bank account...

Yes it does have lights, but those still need to be put on.
For those who are wondering, it's made of mahogany & quilted maple, the hangers are maple & ebony.

You might notice, in the bottom picture, those lines in the quilted maple frame under each instrument; they are pop out trays that will be used to display wood samples.

In the future there are plans for 1 & 2 instrument cabinets as well.

Mike  did one hell of a job.

Hmmm ...no ...I'm afraid you lost me here. If I may say : too american stylewise. Sorry.
Although, I absolutely love the craftmanship in it. And the idea of making this kind of displays is really good, just not my style.

Paul the bad one

Wow!

Is there anything the people at Alembic can't make?? That is reeeeaaallly nice. It would just happen to fit my three basses too.........

Wow,
this looks really great.
At left I would hang my Spyder 4, at right the Spyder 8, but what to hang in the middle?
So space for a custom order?
So Mica, how many basses must I order to get one
of those free of charge?   :-)
Really good looking!!

Alembic rocks!

BRAVO.

As a design element, I REALLY like the cutout of the ALEMBIC logo above the hangar(s).  I wish it were possible to incorporate this into a guitar strap, or other ALEMBIC logo gear.  I really believe in presentation, and it just won't do to have an ALEMBIC sitting on a $10 stand between a G+L and an Ibanez.  BTW, George Gruhn has a similar presentation case for mega$ pieces here in his Nashville store (but he wastes it with Gibsons).

As for the hangars themselves, what's the upcharge for ebony laminates ?!?!?

Very catchy, indeed. I don't know why but while looking at the pictures something reminds me at church somehow ... :-)

Church, indeed!  Gawdamighty!  (Quincy better keep his doors locked...!)

FYI, this particular case will hold 3 Spyder basses, Oliver.

The lights are small tubes concealed behind the vertical Mahogany supports, with a dimmer of course.  The lights arrived with a displeasing splice, so they are refabricating them.

No one has ask, so I will, What would a guitar show case like that cost? and will it come with LEDs or is it a Series 1 cabinet, I'm setting down!!!
that should be next's month's featured custom.
To all that built it, great craftmanship.

Hello David,

it 's wise to sit down for this...
that display goes for as much as a Series II,  to the dollar.  Mike is the man who built it.

It's only right that a place for three Alembic's should be grand, I think Mike has hit the mark, once again OUTSTANDING craftsmanship!!!!!
