I just read in the morning paper that a fire swept through the Alembic factory in Santa Rosa last night destroying the wood supply and half of the instruments in progress!

Bill; Absolutely nothing is funny about a Luthier having a fire.  The aftermath of a fire bankrupted the Mid Missouri Mandolin Company this past year. This was a small shop that built nice moderately affordable Mando's. I admired and respected this shop.    
 
April Fools jokes should be limited to young and foolish 2-6 year olds. You presumably have passed this age.  
 
I too have more respect for the person who burns the flag and then wraps themself in the Constitution, than for the person who burns the Constitution and them wraps themself in the flag. But this felt a little too close to yelling fire in a theater.

Sorry if I upset anyone.  That certainly wasn't my intention.  I guess in my neck of the woods, April Fools jokes are not limited to young and foolish 2-6 year olds (as opposed to old and wise 2-6 year olds?)  In fact, I've met far more 20-60 year old people that partake in April fools joke than 2-6 year old people who do.  Nevertheless, please accept my sincerest apology to any of you who were upset, offended, devastated, shocked, horrified, tormented, or required medical attention as a result of my prank.
