the patient has had a relapse......the finish is being absorbed into the wood again
back to spray.....
one thing i can say- they are not gonna cut it loose until its fixed...
and i am 100% ok with this...

I'm thinking superglue is the answer (i.e. stabilizing the wood-- this is what they do on Buckeye Burl, I believe).

I'll be celebrating your birthday in fine style this year.  My band will be playing at this year's Jeff's B-day Extravaganza (though some know it as Cannabis Freedom Day) on a big stage set up in front of City Hall in San Francisco.  LOL
