Well , I don't know the original song, but seems like she made a damn good job of it!

Wow, tastfully done and I hear a great duet of Susan and Sarah Mclachlan on a song together would tear a roof down with tears,
Bravo Susan, great performance

I'm a too critical so and so when it comes to vocals, especially female. I was moved to tears. This is a voice of purity tempered with the experiences of life. I'm most definitively buying this cd when it comes out. Thank Georgie Boy for sharing it.

There was an appropriate comment posted under the video comparing Susan Boyle to Annie Lennox. . .

Susan is the new diva - flat out fabulous

I am impressed. I see she got a make-over. Fantastic. The lil ol' English Housewife is quaint, but now she's got polish. My Bar is set with Ella, And though they are two different singers, I can see Susan doing a lot of the same show tunes Ella did so well, and so commercially profitable. Big plus for me, She isn't a clone, created by some producer.

In case anyone is interested I just pre-ordered the Susan Boyle CD from Amazon.com for $9.99 that is due to come out on November 24th, please if you like what you hear then show your support to this astonishing vocalist who is surely headed for the top , they said that her version of Wild Horses will be on the released CD and rumor has it that this will be a back ordered item shortly...John

One wonderful aspect of this Susan Boyle discovery is that finally she is able to shine. This gives faith to so many of the  talented Musicians and singers in the world that have been stuck working at jobs that just suck the life out of them and  stifle their real abilities as true musical virtuosos .There are so many of you out there !

Nick. The lil ol' English Housewife is ..... Scottish! And from a part of Scotland (not far from George and myself) that is as nationalistic as they can get ;-)

Graeme

lolol!!!!
Nick......I was just about to post the same message as Graeme!!
He beat me to it.........damn!!
We seem to get so much of this here........when someone does well in say, the Olympic (Alembic?) games, and they are from England, the hosts of shows always say.....yeah this ENGLISH person....blah blah blah........
BUT when a Scottish person does well (SCOTCH is what you drink by the way.....not the nationality) they still say English........or indeed, British!!
Just my (and Graeme's...and every other Scottish person's) views.
Even Graeme is English....but damn...he's a nice guy, so we tolerate him!!  LOL

I saw her when she first aired on BGT, I loved her voice then.

I wonder how many of us (all I would assume at one time or another) have been guilty of knowing what was inside after one short look at the outside.

Susan has a great sense of witt and humor too. Her interviews are fun to watch as well.

A CLASS ACT 100%.

OO
You sure she's not from Texas George?! LOL

georgie_boy

Now listen here Olin!!!    LOL!
She's a Scot...and we're damn proud of her!!
Nice to see something decent coming out of Scotland of late.....although, a 30 year old single malt.....I digress!!
She lives just round the corner from Jacko!!!!
Must confess, even as a qualified Psychologist, I've been known to see what's on the outside, and (wrongly) assume, that that is what is on the inside!!
We are all learning every day.
What a wake up call for the World!!

I must confess though, that as a Trick Cyclist,
her jokes and seemingly jovial sense of well being, do show a very shy and insecure person, who has been hiding for so many years. Now, it's difficult to handle all the adoration and, at times may become a bit too much for her.
However........she's a Scot!!!.and will survive  LOL
I say....good luck to her. She has a superb talent that we should all appreciate
Good onya Susan!!
