What is suddenly with a bunch of Epics on the 'Bay with BIN's of $2100, $2300, and even $2700? Don't get me wrong, I have one and really dig it, but, some are priced higher than a couple of Rogues and an Elan.

Yea, I'm thinking of trading my Orion in for a Series II.

ebay listings don't tell you how much item's are selling for. For that information you need to do an advanced search, and select completed listings only.

I just did this search, two epics sold for under $1000, one minty one for $1650.  The few listed over $2K and one for $1550 did not sell.

Sometimes it seems as if a seller will repeatedly list an item for above it's generally accepted value, in the hopes that after a while, buyers will get used to seeing the higher priced listings, and maybe start to believe they have appreciated! I see that happening lately with old Traynor amps. They keep getting relisted at highly inflated prices, and not selling.

BTW, I love my Epic too, a 96 that I scored a few years back, $1100 at my local used shop.

The situation you describe appears to be similar to that which I've recently found with Spoliers.  Here are two mid-80s listed on Craigslist for $2,500 in Boston (http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/msg/1605008020.html) and $2,000 in Vancouver (http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/msg/1604572910.html)
At least with the Candian one you get a $49.00 discount given the current exchange rate.
