There are three used Alembic basses on Ed Roman's website. Could someone please tell me which model the one he calls a Stanley Clarke V is? It can't be an SC. Thanks team.

Here is the link.  It's probably an Essence.  It has a Maple neck with no inlays.  The controls look to be Essence controls with the addition of a Q switch.  Pickups are AXY (or possibly Fatboy) instead of MXY.  Upgrades would be the Small Standard body, the Bird's Eye Maple, and the Crown headstock.  With the Small Standard body, it is undoubtedly a short scale.

I'd suspect the short scale part even more with the five strings.  Isn't it great how Ed bills it as a Stanley?  That would seem to penalize other dealers (who know Alembic as well at Ed) who use accurate descriptions.

Alembic makes a Stanley Clarke signature model.  It features their signature electronics.  I'm sure they'll gladly make you a five, six, eight, twelve or even a doubleneck version - if you ask them nicely.   Just get your check book ready! Stanley actually plays a short scale Series I four string.

That Series I on Ed Roman's site is just spectacular.

I just bought a brand new Stanley Clarke Signature Deluxe. Check it out in the showcase section.
