My Grateful Dead Jam is in need of a bass player this Sunday.  Two guitars (both Alembics), keys, drums, sound guy, jamming in Canyon this Sunday at 6 p.m.  Anyone nearby want to come and check it out?  I know there are some bass players around these parts.

Sorry, I don't think I can do it. If it was a Saturday and an afternoon, I'd be there in a heartbeat (I know, 10 years ago I'd still be there). I'm not sure how well I'd fit in, because you'd have to shout out the changes to me, but it worked at the gatherings, so I guess I could fake my way through ok.

Sounds like fun - I might be up for it, but I just got back from a week-long buisness trip to the east coast and came back to find my wife sick with a cold, so I can't commit right now. Can I get back to you when the weekend gets nearer? I would love to give my new (to me) Stanley Clarke 5-string a whirl playing with other people!

We'd love to have you.  The idea of an all-Alembic band is very cool.  It's in the same place where we've had the Alembic get together and we're shooting to start around 6 p.m. and go to 9 or maybe a little later.  Please let me know ASAP.
