Seriously.  If four people hadn't, today would be the 36th anniversary of my death.  Sitting around with a needle in your arm isn't fun, but it's important.  Thanks.

I can give an Amen! to that. I had a complete oil change and then some back in 1968. Was told I had depleted several local blood banks since I was O RHneg/CMVneg. Have been trying to pay back since.

I gave a pint yesterday. First time in my life.  It wasn't bad at all, only took 7 minutes. I'll do it again.

I try to donate 3-4 times a year.  It takes a few moments of your time, but is well worth the effort.  
 
My wife is still here with me because of the blood that someone else donated.  I'll keep giving blood until they tell me I can't do it anymore.

I have donated since I was 18 and I am now 53.

I donate as often as I can. When my sister was sick, I was asked to donate blood platelets for her. They put a tube into each arm, and you get a slight chill from the process, but it was easy.

I would donate, but they won't let me, which frustrates me tremendously, and is stupid.  It's a long story, and doesn't bear repeating on the internet.
