Hi, there are special serial basses for japan & southeast Asia. You can search for an other thread wich speaking about

The basses were made in Japan using Alembic electronics and a license to use the Alembic logo.  
As Pierre-Yves says you should be able to search the site and find other discussions about them.

Did a search for Alembic in the basses section. They have quite a few.Basses and a Series 1 6-string.
