Plus one for the Yamaha PB-1 preamp, a rugged, useful piece of gear. I have one in a 4-space rack with a QSC RMX2450 amp. The combination has enough juice to drive all 4 of my cabinets, if needed (which it never is...). The biggest rig I ever need is that rack plus 2 Acme Low B 2's.

Tanks for all this awesome feedback.  I picked up a Mesa Powerhouse 1x15 so I'll try and match that with their 2x10.
 
It seems I need the separate channels that the QSC offers and the RMX 2450 has more power then the GX5- so I'll probably go with that.
 
Then I'll chase up a F-1X.
 
I'll post the rig when it gets a bit bigger....
