Here is a video clip I found on you tube today of an Alembic MK Deluxe bass with music man pickups in.  
 
Before I read what the guy had done i just thought this bass doesn't sound like an alembic at all.

Nope I did ask him that very question with a view to buying them off him but alas he does not have them.

Huge mistake but hey, I am the dummy that sold a Distallate that was given to me.

He should have just traded the bass for a Bongo and cash, that's crazy.

The difference in the way the bass sounds now really does make you realise how big a part the alembic innards have on the sound of their basses.
