Richie too? This has been a tough couple of years.

His opening set at Woodstock has, from my perspective, made an indelible imprint on our history; and his performance there was certainly informative on my own social and musical path.  I am grateful to him for touching my life with his music.

A few years ago, he stopped by the small guitar store in Cave Creek, AZ where I work on Saturdays and played and sang for about an hour.
 
Everyone who witnessed that was very moved.

One of the hardest strummers I ever saw.  His guitars always seemed to have a hole worn through from his beating them so hard.  Great voice, great passion.  Handsome Johnny is going through my head as I type this.

I loved Richie's performance in Woodstock and his great cover of Here Comes The Sun as well. I got to see a very interesting documentary in production in the 90's called The Peace Tapes that included a lengthy interview with Richie in Chicago while he was on tour. Another voice of harmony and soul has joined the choir above...
