Rusty . we seem to have that brass back ground in common . way cool !   It did in fact at fist take a few weeks for me to get my brass embouchure correct on the small shank baritone-tenor trombone mouth piece.  Currently on trumpet I like a Bach 5B and on Baritone horn a Bach 6 small shank mouthpiece.   AND; yes the trombone music seems to be  is a blast to play on the bass guitar , but if you get to a glissando on the notation  you need a fretless bass. LOL !

I used a Bach 6 1/2 AL for most of my trombone music, but if I wanted to play high stuff I used a 12C. You are right, the trombone is very similar to a fretless, it teaches you to have a good ear!

Rusty:

Happy belated birthday.  I don't know how I missed this thread other than I've been cruising the site on my phone the past few days as I've been on the east coast.  (Thankfully back home now).  Not used to the small screen.  Great that you had such a good time spending it with family.

Bill, tgo

Thanks Bill! I can relate to trying to see everything on a smart phone. I have to wear 2 pairs of readers when I do that! LOL! Welcome home, glad you made it back safe!
