I'm looking to buy a five-string Alembic. Series bass with cocobolo top and back preferred. Ideal price range is under $3000, but for the right bass no price is too steep. I'd just love to see what's out there!

Hi Robin, welcome to the board!  It seems highly unlikely that you would find a five string Series bass with Coco Bolo top and back for less than $3,000.  But then you did go on to say that for the right bass no price is too steep!

yeah... I know I am hoping for a one in a billion chance here, but hey, it never hurts to try! Its nice to be part of the fam, though. Hopefully I will be able to afford one of my very own. Until then, wishing and waiting...
