I'm looking for a Balance or Balance K shaped 5 string with the signature (Mark King) electronics. I do not require a deluxe level instrument, standard is fine. My arthritis is getting worse, and I would like to get one extraordinary bass while I can still play. Playability trumps all, including sound and look.

I don't have a bass to offer but some advice,  I would seriously look into Hot/Cold treatment,  I had serious problems with my hands years ago, and have healed without operations,  I'm a sheet-metal worker by trade, so you can imagine that coupled with practicing hours a day the kind of damage to my hands.    best of luck=) B.

Bumping once more, as I have about 5K to spend. Let's move sound up a notch though to equal playability I want to grab something soon, and would prefer an Alembic over a Fodera E5S if I can get one.
