Hi All:

I'm looking fo a set of Alembic single coil pickups and the electronics for a Series I style Alembic Guitar. I will also need the hum canceller. Any help on locating these items or suggestions on some pickups that may directly replace the originals would also be greatly appreciated. I can email a photo of the guitar style if it would be helpful.

Thanks,
Mike

At $345 for just the pickups, you might want to price new ones.  Why don't you post a picture of the guitar here.  If I see anything in my Internet wanderings that might be interesting to you, I will let you know.

WOW That was fast! Thanks mkazaria. I agree on the price though... A little steep. This is not the actual guitar (I'm waiting for delivery) but this indicates the pickups I need.

Thanks, and keep me posted if anyone finds another set.

Your best bet is probably to find a seriously damaged guitar that still has its gutz intact.  The pickups are not that expensive, but the electronics are, indeed.  Plus, if you get an old set, it might need to be upgraded, which is not a cheap venture, either.  If I see a crunched Series I guitar around, I will let you know.

Thanks for all the help. mkazaria I'm working with the seller of the pickups he seems to be a straight forward seller. Thanks for the tip. I do have another question... Do any of you have a wiring diagram for this guitar. How does the hum canceller get wired into the circuit? While I wait and try to locate some used electronics, can I use another active system like a Bartolini? And again if so how would I wire in the hum canceller???

Thanks again,
Mike

Hi again:
I'm still wondering if anyone has a schematic or diagram for the wiring on a series I type guitar like the one pictured above.

Thanks in advance.
