Hi Christophe, thanks for the interest (and the thoughts which are much appreciated).

A buyer has paid a deposit so it looks like it's going; I also have another interested party. However if for any reason both fall through I'll let you know.

Sadly my wonderful bass is now sold, and is now with its new owner in Germany. I'll miss it a great deal, and I wish things had worked out differently. Thanks once again to all at Alembic for making a dream come true and bringing me a lot of happiness in the process; let's hope that one day we can do it again.

P.S. I'll still be sticking around here, as I'm still an Alembic owner in my head...

I'm so sorry about your back problem. If you want continue to play a bass, Jerzy Drozed Barcerona might be one of solution. I could try to play it once. I felt it's so light almost like a feather!

Good to hear from you! The Barcelona is certainly one of the basses I would most like to try; I think they look beautiful. Unfortunately at the moment I can't afford one, even after selling the Alembic.

By the way, the Balance K in your profile is stunning!

I dreamt about my former Alembic last night...not good! I suspect it might take a while to come to terms with it...
