Wow, those are some old strings!  Do you have any pics?

Peruvian walnut?  Never heard of that one; sounds like a beauty.  Good luck with your sale, but be aware that used Series basses currently seem to be going for half that & less - if this is a sale of need you may need to come down some.  (I offer that only as a friendly heads-up and not to start talking you down, as I have no money.  But if I had money, I'd start trying to talk you down right about now )

In other words: 10K-no way....  The series one owned and played by the Doobie Brothers has been for sale at 6K for over a year with no luck.

Where's that DOOBIE BROTHER's Series I bass lingering for sale?

Need to see Dizzie bass pics with such a dizzy number attached to it. Agreeing with GTRGUY per your unrealistic asking price. By all means, you have to start somewhere, but it will soon occur to you that your asking price needs to be at least within the Earth's atmosphere if you're serious about liquidating. Otherwise, like Dizzie, you're just blowin' your horn, because potential buyers will be unable to hear you, since your price is coming from an outer space vacuum where sound cannot be detected. :0)

My '77 Series I 12 string, Big Irv, has Peruvian Walnut top and back.  Heck, I'd let it go for only $9K and you get 8 more strings!  Frivolous inquiries only.  lol
