Beautiful 5 stings Excel color translucent black. In very good condition ( few minor dings ) sound awsome , very thick. Tonight i had a try on this legendary bass, the very attractive Rickenbaker 4003. He was aking 1700$ . The bass was perfectly clean but the setup was so bad.  The string more then a 1/4 inch high, too big for the saddle ( i had to push it so hard to get them in place so they were not responding to tuner) Neck was curve. And all this using a 15 watts line 6 bass Amp.  
 
That make me realize how my Excel is such an amazing bass. For those who worry i'll never trade BB (black beauty) foor this one lol

I forgot to say that this bass have filter and q-switch rather than bass treble. With 2 fatboy pickups it make its sound very unique.

I've got a Rickenbacker 4001 C64 in black with white pickguard. Sounds great- removed the capacitors for low end from bridge horseshoe pickup. Been looking to get a 5'er. Interested?
