Hey Bill,
You can start a thread for avice on bass rigs and get plenty of suggestions!
OMG.....I just saw Victor's you tube clip. What a picker! I always loved that technique.  
When I play (or attempt to play) like that I have to really concentrate.  
He makes it look easy. A real picker's picker he is!

Thanks Steve. For what it's worth, I am a couple of  months from 52 and I have yet to get that 12 pointer. Lot's of good hunting here in Michigan though.
 
That's a good idea to start a separate thread for light rigs.I think i will do just that later. Keep picking brother. My hill to climb is slapping. Currently learning bebop scales...

Home at last. This bass is breath taking. Pictures cannot do it justice. And the sound... wow. Nothing short of spectacular. This is my first Alembic. I did not know what I was missing. I have to go and play it some more. I will be away for a while...
