Hi, a year or so ago I bought a pair of caramel, green/brown colored (I'm color blind) early Alembic bass pickups from member musahsi here on the site.  Thought to keep them as spares for my 74 Alembic.  Would sell the pair for $375 shipped.  Will post pictures tonight - best regards, Todd

Here are the pix - had them in storage and forgot to mention that the humbucker is here too - based on the size, I'm guessing this would have been on one of the basses with the battery in the front between the pickups. The humbucker is marked in marker on tape - trap hum 1000/#40. The pickups are marked trap treble 100/#40, trap bass 100/#40   Wondering if 40 may tie indicate the bass it came out ofs serial number - any thoughts?  Not sure what the 1000 refers to.

Are these for a Series bass? Would they fit well in a Starfire? If so, consider them sold!

Thanks,
Edwin

Hi Edwin,
 they are 1 5/8 wide, 3 1/4 long and .5 deep

They should be here any day!

I'm thinking about seeing if I can use them in Series I configuration.

Wow Edwin !

Go ahead the Starfire project !
The PF-6 board needs soldering one lead and change these connectors.
But Mica will suggest the way.

I thought this might happen. Congrats Edwin. I can't wait to hear the Starfire!

Edwin__,    OH yes, I remember now , those electronics. I am really looking forward to see what progresses on your project.
Congratulations.

OK, electronics showed up today and pickups on the way! Very exciting. My starfire has always sounded good, but lacked the clarity that Alembic electronics and pickups can provide.

I'd love to be able to convert the electronics to Series II operation (which is what I meant to type in the above message), but what is most welcome is the ability to preamp each pickup separately and get a stereo out.
