For trade is a 94 Epic. It is the walnut Epic in the photo below. Next to it is my 98 Epic. I'm looking for another Epic/Essence that has the features of the 98. I'll explain:
 
94: Very light poly finish - wood grain texture comes through
98: Thick glossy poly finish - smooth as a baby's bottom
 
94: Very light weight
98: Heavier, at least a pound
 
94: Three piece maple neck
98: Same, but with walnut stripes sandwiched in between
 
94: Brighter/more modern sounding
98: Darker/deeper sounding
 

 
The condition is excellent for its age. Nothing significant to speak of. Due to the winter we've had in MI, the fret edges are protruding a bit, but they weren't during the summer/fall so I expect that things will return to normal as soon as Spring comes (or of course, the frets can be filed - it really hasn't bothered me enough to address it).
