This is literally, a one-of-a-kind, custom jazz bass. It's got a swamp ash Warmoth Body (Dinky), with an Warmoth neck (fretless ebony).

When I picked this up, I was told that the body was routed over at Sadowsky in New York. The neck is also planed for a nice, comfortable, vintage 7 1/4 radius, and it has a Hipshot D-tuner installed.

The pickups and electronics is the Alembic, East-Meets-West setup. That gives you all the options: Volume, Pan, Treble, Bass, Low Pass filer, Q-Switch. This package don't come up too often.

In addition to the fantastic electronics, the neck pickup is an AXY, and the bridge pickup is a Fatboy. This bass is very versatile, going from fat and pillowy to ultra burpy with a turn of the knob.

I'm asking $1200 + shipping. I'm in Chicago, and would prefer a local sale, but am willing to ship. It pains me to sell it, but I've got to downsize, so no trades please.

If you want Alembic tone with Fender sensibilities, this is your bass.

Feel free to ask any questions, you can find my email in my profile link.

Thanks,

Thanks man, it's a really cool bass, and one I wish I could keep around, just-in-case.

This is still available.

I've added links to some recorded tracks below. These were recorded direct in the studio. I think I either slightly favored the neck pickup, or ran them 50/50, wide open.

Hey Joe - Nice recordings!  I'm going to add your recordings to my play list.

If my health insurance wasn't $12,000 per year (and likely to increase again), I'd jump on this one too!
