Hey guys; you're hijacking a for-sale thread.  This is a very interesting discussion, but it belongs elsewhere; not in this particular thread.  In addition to which, the top on this bass is too beautiful to be cutting into.

Thank you Dave
Perhaps you can help me because if it can be modified I think I will purchase it.

My apologies Dave , I was just trying to help with the brain storming in progress.

Charles,
Unless the bass had the Series prep I doubt the body is thick enough for Series electronics. Series instruments require a thicker body to contain the electronics. The only non-Series that I am aware of that can be modified after the fact is the Brown Bass but this might have changed over the years.

Chalie; I agree with Keith.  My understanding is that unless the instrument was custom built for a future Series upgrade, the only non-Series model that can be upgraded to Series after it's been built is the Brown Bass.

Wolf; no problem.

Hi Ryan, may I inquire as to her weight?
Thanks,
Chris
Correction: there is 'much' money to be made above the fifth fret....

rmfarris

Hi Chris - she weighs in at 10 LBS.  Let me know if I can answer any other questions.

Cheers,

Ryan

Bumpin' to the top of the stack.  This baby is still looking for a good home.  She's lonely! ;)
