Actually I figure the 12 string reserve is too high.  I traded emails with the seller before.  They want top dollar and maybe then some - and it hasn't had the electronic upgrade, so add another $1500!  The 6 string, on the other hand, I'm keeping a close eye on.  It looks like there's no power supply and I doubt its had the upgrade either.  Think I'll go email the seller. I'm playing that one much closer to the vest. LOL

Bill, I personally thought that $4900 (see the Bunny Bass link) wasn't too high an asking price for a 12-string Series II. If I were a guitar player, or if there was a money tree growing in my backyard, I would be VERY tempted at that price. Amazing instrument...

Wilfred:

The 12 string has been on consignment at Bunny Bass for a while.  The seller apparently lowered the price since I last checked,IIRC.  Even at $4900, add the upgrade and it's $6,400.  I think it's a beautiful instrument and I'd grab it in a minute if I won the lottery, but on the open market I don't think it gets anything close to $4900.  I guess we will watch and see.

I'd love to have 'em both, but not at those prices.

I just won the auction for the Series 1 six string guitar.  Yee Ha!!!!  (Thanks Mike).  I've been lusting for one of the old series guitars for about 30 years since I played in a short-lived band called Cripple Finger with a guy named Keith who had one.      Before the beer bottles start pounding on the tables in the taverns of Belgium, I promise I'll post pics upon receipt.
