My Alembic doesn't have a thermometer.

george_wright

Well, Dave, maybe a thermometer option will show up in the next release of the quote generator :-)!

george_wright

Dave, did you speak with Val?  Just because it's not in the quote generator doesn't mean you can't have it.

palembic

Huhuhuhu ...a thermometer for Moder Dave saying you're too hot ...cool down your playing!!!

HA!

Is it a do-it-yourself project or do you have to send the bass back to the shop?

jahnahisti

And all the distilled water you could ever need during a show.

Why on earth would anyone need a Mit Thermometer.  If your hands are cold, the mits don't work.  Just get a new pair.

At least it seems to be a legit auction... not a Conqueror mit Thermometer, LOL ! And with less than USD 40, you may risk a bid on YOUR next Alembic, folks !

...well, that thing is not too far away from my home, and it's mit Thermometer. think, think, okay still one day left to get my wife's permission on investing 40 bucks.

I don't have a mit for my Alembic either; neither an aftermarket mit nor a genuine Alembic mitten custom made for my S1.

speicky

Now, that's having me scratch my neck: what is a mit ? It's a german auction on ebay, and mit simply means with, or including, but there seems to be the same term in AE or BE with a different meaning which confuses me... some kind of hand warmers, maybe ? anyway, mit ist meistens gut !

Christian,
a Mitten or Mit for short in AE is like a glove but there are no individual fingers, they are covered by solid piece of fabric.

Aah, got it ! Thanks, Ken ! This is the pool of wisdom forum on the internet ! :-) you surprise me almost each and every day, it feels so great, hope I can reward that sometime in the near future.

Coincidences, coincidences ... A mof in Dutch is a fur sleeve that you can put your hands in from the sides to keep them warm (muffle?) - and also slang for a German.
