I'm taking it to Washington Music Center ( Chuck Levins) tomorrow morning to be repaired....

They fixed it the 2nd time it broke in 2001.

The first time it was knocked over by my cat in 1978 and snapped the neck!

Keavin can fix it for you... he has lots of experience.

Although it would be quite costly I expect, but im sure Alembic would love to make a permanent repair of that neck for you too.
I could imagine it needing a new headstock splicing in somehow.

That's painful to see.

P.S.
Once it's fixed, it'll be as good as new........ask Keavin!

Like I said this is the 3rd time it has broken. and every time it was repaired it had perfect intonation.

Jazzyvee: I know Alembic can fix it permanently but like you say it expensive. I may go down that road one day.

I could fix it myself but i need a fret job as well,  I'm not doing that.

Had mine repaired twice here in Jersey. The 2nd time I waited 20  months. Well you said you weren't in a hurry was the response when I became irritated. Best of luck with the repair.

howierd: How did this happen?

howierd

Danno, Thanks. I was told about a month. I was hoping to just dress the frets. But they are beyond repair.

Keavin, I thought about that but it needs more work than i can do. The glue has to be removed because the original glue joint opened up.

Brian, I tripped on the cable. Something I am always careful about. I was using my 30' cable instead of my shorter one in a small area.
