Daniel, I'm glad to hear you mention the transition from the neck into the body.  I thought it was just me.  I've had several bolt-ons before, some that I really liked, but somehow to slide up the neck and hit that 'curb' at the bolt-on joint just always, well, aggravated me.  And I'm not one of these high-technique players where I'm zooming around much at all at the high end of the fingerboard.  That transition always steered me towards neck-thrus ever since my first, a BB1200 Yamaha back in the 80's.
