Would love to read Mica's input on this one :-)

'69/'70 (if that's accurate) would be pre production I guess? (and indeed some sort of proto?)
The inlay work should trigger some memories with the seniors at the mothership?

I've got a gig down that way in a few weeks... I'd  like to see that one in person. Love that body pattern. Tailpiece looks like the one on the Dickey Betts guitar.

I like the arm relief cut. That must have been one fine guitar when it was made.

elwoodblue

I like the relief cut too. Carlos' #28 has a similar thing going on.

I can't say how amazed I am at the stellar designs coming out so early.

I hope you get a chance to play it Edward.

mtjam

I hope someone gets to try that one out. Very unique! I hope Mica does chime in on this one.

Based on the body shape and the hole configuration, I would say that bass was made in  1974.

I see a lot of BecVar influence in that one.

Pretty sure the owner posted this on the Club some time ago inquiring about it. Bill would probably remember better than me.

Sweet looking guitar.  The upper horn seems to have some Wolf DNA.  (Jerry's guitar, not our own Sonicus!)  Definitely later than '69-70.  Too bad the electronics are gone.  Without them, the price is high, IMHO.

Yes, finding those Series I parts will not be easy nor cheap, especially for a 6 stringer.
